Two 20-year-olds, Blake and Roman, took a random Google pretzel recipe and turned it into Hot Box Pretzels, a sizzling food-truck business in Jacksonville pulling in up to $18,000 a month. No culinary background, no investors—just $10K saved from side hustles like pressure washing, remodeling, and hanging Christmas lights.

Spotting a Salty Gap in a Crowded Market

Working as bussers at a golf course, they watched customers go crazy for giant pretzels. When they realized Jacksonville had hundreds of food trucks but zero pretzel trucks, they pounced. They rented a commissary kitchen, perfected a crispy-outside, soft-inside recipe using just five ingredients, and pre-bake, flash-freeze, then finish pretzels on-site for speed and freshness.

Big Events, Bigger Paydays

With a self-built trailer and later a wrapped minivan, they now hit music festivals, college events, and nightclubs—selling 400 pretzels in a day plus $10 souvenir lemonades for $6–7K in revenue at a single festival.
